every 3750 miles for an oil change??? on synthetic???? (isnt it synthetic?)

my dads bmw goes 13000 without oil!!!!!!!

 

Dealer oil changes are not Syn - some dealers will do syn changes though.

If you go synthetic they will suggest that you go double the milage so 7500 i guess if you dont care about your warranty you can get the high milage syn. and go 15000 miles.. but to me.. no matter what car.. that is awhole lot of miles...

 

I don't think 3750 miles is that bad. Regardless of manufacturer ratings, I normally change between 3000-3500 miles anyway. Just for my piece of mind....

 

but thats alot of $ for oil during a year.. considering i put on about 12-15K....

im gonna call the stealership. see what they say

 

do a blackstone report and you can tell how long you have left.

Anyway, 12-15K miles is about average, so you figure you'd change the oil 3-5 times in a year. So $120 to $150 for oil changes in a year (non-synth) isn't too bad IMO. Anyway, I'm curious to see what the dealer tells you....

 

Damn - I change between 2500 - 3000 - almost NEVER over 3000. I drive my car hard and it's built though...
