Re: CAMS

The cams are made by Tomei. Durations are like 256, 264, and 268 degrees. With the higher duration and higher lift, I believe that you will need to upgrade the valve springs and internals.

Re: CAMS

And if I remember correctly, the JWT cams are 260 and the NISMO cams are 262. You don't need to upgrade internals for cams. Stronger valve springs are a good idea, though.

Re: CAMS

Sorry, what I meant by "internals" I meant everything that supports the new cams due to the higher lift and increased duration. If you are going that far into the engine, I would suggest working on everything at the same time,...complete engine rebuild. Heads, cams, valves, rods, pistons, flywheel, clutch, and anything else that you were planning to do. Makes the labor cost a little lower vs. having to take it apart everytime. Then again, if you can do this on your alone then,............................ just ignore me. :-)

Re: CAMS

Good info. I remember your car from maxima.org years ago. What is the stock cam duration on the G35c?

Re: CAMS

If that's the case, even a 260 would be a big improvement, while not being aggressive enough to cause drivability issues, I would think.
