Lurch mode??

Hey,

Has anyone read anything of know about "lurch" mode on the VQ35 engine? I read something yesterday posted on Altima.org about it. It's when the engine goes into a safe mode and will not allow RPM's to exceed 2400. It occurs when two trouble codes are sent to the ECUI in a row and it's designed to allow your car to get you where you need to go without the chance of causing further damage to the engine. The post on Altima.org said it can be caused by a faulty MAF or it just could be corrected with an ECU reset. It's happened to me numerous times and I do a ECU reset and it goes away for a bit. Or, I can just shut down the engine, start it again after 10 seconds and it's fine again. I have grounding wires and I looked under my hood last night and saw that one of my grounding wires (the one running to the mixture chamber) fell out of place and was running perpendicular to my MAF wires right across the top of them. I moved the grounding wire back to where it's supposed to be and today, not one skip into lurch mode! I was think that perhaps this lurch mode was triggered by the ground wire running across it and sending out an EMI wave that triggered a code to the ECU that all is not right and that's what triggered the ECU into lurch mode. Anyone else with grounding wires ever have this happen? I also thought my MAF had possibly gone bad but after reading that Altima.org post, it said it might n ot be a bad MAF. I have a Stillen intake. Another possible cause I thought might be the cold and an out of whack temp sensor in the MAF. My thought was if super-cold air is entering the MAF and causing a code to be delivered, that it might be trigggering lurch mode. But, today after moving my grounding wire, it didn't happen! First time in like 3 weeks!!! YEAH! Do elec techs thing that an EMI (electo-magnetic impulse) may have caused this lurch mode to occur? has this happened to anyone else out there? I did have a bad AC compressor belt as my AC pulley was out of alignment and frayed. I thought that dust from that belt may have coated the MAF through my Stillen intake, but now I question that too!

Oh, and BTW, when I did an ECU reset, I got no out of sequence flashes. All were in tens which means zeros and the ECU is clear of errors! If there was a code stuck in the ECU, then it will display a different sequence of flashes when you do a ECU reset!

Thoughts and comments please!!!!
