Painting/Chroming Plenum

Has anyone either done this on their own or had this done by a shop? What did you go with, what did it cost and where did you have it done?

i would polish your plenum, as i think the paint would come off being so hot, but not 100% sure on that so dont qoute me

but i have def seen people polish them, it does take a bit to get polished but it can be done =0)

Here is a pic from the mt run in the spring of a 350z with a polished plenum

You can paint your plenum or polish it yourself. if you decide to paint the plenum you will want to sand the plenum with a few different grits of sandpaper then spray it with a coat of high heat primer and then use som high heat engine paint.
If you want to polish your plenum go to Home Depot and get a polishing dremel kit (70.00) and sand the plenum down and polish away. Polishing a plenum is a lot of work. I know Edwin over on My350z.com will do it to for a small fee.

don't paint the plenum IMO...get it powdercoated instead. You can polish it yourself, but it's a lot of work...5 hours minimum.

Here is mine powdercoated black:
