Just had my UR pulleys installed with Gates Belts...NOW LOUD SQUEELING NOISES.
Like the title says....i just had them installed this past week and now every morning i start it up it squeels for about 1-2 minutes until it gets warm.....Im not sure why its doing this......I have had the pulleys for alittle over 2 months sittin in my garage waiting for install......the belts had been sittin there as well.
I am not sure if the belts are just to stiff or what...but i went ahead and ordered a new set just in case. I bought the Pulleys from a forum member.
Im not sure if i got the correct AC belt which i think is the problem because everytime the AC is turned on its really bad...I may just need to order the correct AC belt...I found a post that said this is the right one Gates #K0040350 but cannot find it on the website.

i had them put on 2 days ago....at a performance shop....after reading through some post i think i have the bigger size AC belt which causes squeeling....thats what other forum members have stated. They said that they replaced it with a smaller belt and it has gone away.
as far as tightening them what do i need to go about doing as far as tightening them?? with past exp from other forum members..if you dont have the right size belt you will always have squeeling.

take off the under panel. Loosen the tensioner pulley nut (14mm) then turn the adjusting bolt (12mm) to the right to tighten it, when you're satisfied, tighten the tensioner pulley nut and you're all set. To make sure the belt isnt too tight or too loose pull it up and down and it shouldnt have more than a half inch of give up or down.
