Headers?
Hello,
I am about to buy some headers and yes the search button has been pushed. It seems like there is mix feelings about them. Hear is my question. If I get the headers am I going to loose bottom end power and also do I need to go with test pipes? Advises please hopefully non sarcastic ones.

If you're going to get headers, you should definately get some HFC/Test pipes & an exhaust.
I haven't heard of people losing low-end power. From what I hear, TP/HFC with a tune should yield better low-end & mid-end power.

I just took my headers off in favour of the TT. I had HF Cats and Stillen exhaust and I assure you, there was no loss of power at any RPM.
Which leaves me with my Stillen stainless headers... Any takers?

I just put Crawford headers and HFC's on and it improved midrange and upper RPM. It made a noticeable difference. I also got Osiris and that made a big improvement, too.
Most people that say headers aren't worth it, don't have them.

Don't do it. You're right, I don't have them .......... but I did. Why did you take headers off to go TT??? You put back on....... ???? It's all about opening up a restrictive flow (velocity) to the right amount. Too much is no good, not enough sucks too. Me........ with this car....... I've had the best results with HFC and a good Catback. Your money do as you see fit. Just my $.03

As long as you have equal capacity into and out of the engine, all is good. If you increase the air in but do not provide a way out for the extra air on the exhaust side, you will not be getting maximum benefit from your mods. The G has quite a few restrictions on both sides in its stock form.
