Vortech Supercharger Question

I am gonna get the vOrtech system for my G. My questions is what are some great complimentary goodies to have to make the system run at top notch? I need it running the best as it can because i will be shipping teh car to Germany later as that is where I live. Thanks for all replies..

It the car an MT or AT?

You'll want an oil pan or pan spacer to increase oil volume and cooling efficiency. I would install a good oil cooler as well. If AT - get a great trans cooler.

I would put the 3.12 pulley on it from the start - or even the 2.87 for max power.

If going with the smaller pulleys - you should do injectors - at least 440CC. Also a Walbro pump - though a return isn't necessary if the Walbro is installed properly.

Get rid of the SS box - or order the tuner kit and get yourself a UTEC or eManage Ultimate to tune with.

I would install an HKS Twin Power as well - best spark boost for the money. Also - NGK Iridium plugs - 1 step colder.

Make sure you get the GATES belts as well. Order 2 extra of each so you have them when you need them.

A boost gauge at a minimum. Otherwise add fuel pressure and oil pressure. Also add the Innovate LC-1 wideband sensor and use it for the UTEC or eManage to monitor A/F levels. A wideband gauge wouldn't hurt either.

Typical breathing mods on the exhaust end will help, which is what I'm doing first, except headers.

True dual exhaust
HFCs
headers (I wouldn't though too damn loud IMO with the other 2 and too hard to get to.)
plenum spacer
cams

These are just add-ons and will complement the vortech. There's some othe **** required, check out the thread by sentry and his vortech Z.

BTW, you post on INC right?

Naw I took my own pics. Sounds like you've got a lot planned for your G. I'm going to have to wait a tad longer before going FI with my car.

It really depends on what your WHP needs and wants are . Figure that out , then look for the mods needed to get there . If just making the car run top notch but whp isnt a major goal . A good tune , gauges maybe all you need .

I would do the 3.12 pulley if your a daily driver and 550 injectors. Plus your breathing mods test pipes or high flow cats, catback system, headers (pain in the a$$ to install)

maybe a fuel return system which comes with a fuel gauge.

AT or MT? Valvebody upgrade for AT, Clutch and flywheel upgrade for MT

380whp on what type of dyno?

good luck
