How are you going to address throttle control, ABS, stability control, speedometer, tach, and all the other electrical gadgetry that is controlled by the various onboard computers? I'm assuming the engine will be controled by a standalone ECU. Building the motor is the really easy part especially when it's out of the car, but wiring that badboy in will be the fun part It's a hell of a project.

My project would be a 6L LS2 into a base 350Z

I'll be running a cable to eliminate the drive by wire, the ABS, traction control, tach and all that good stuff will be handled by a standalone as you suspected. I will keep the OEM ECU to control the A/C.

U serious about the LS2 swap?

I come from an automotive background. My father was the distributor for Garrett turbos, Mack Trucks, was part owner of a Honda Accord and Civic assembly plant in Tejerías, Venezuela, and owned 3 car dealers in Caracas (GM, Toyota, and Honda/Mitsubishi). I've always been fascinated with auto sports and have been messing with everything from car stereos to engine tweaking.

I'm a consultant and being self-employed gives me the ability to not take any clients for the next 6 months while I develop my build.

Thank you for the support

It would be nice if you could take a second and fill us in, sort of a "the man behind the machine" introspective.

Thanks alot.

And again, very nice work.

I'm definitely doing away with the wing but I don't think I'm ready to part ways with the Volks. Other than that the car looks pretty much OEM besides the seibon hood and greddy evo TT.

Right on.

Just a pipe dream. As I'm you know, the small block Chevy V8 is tiny and much narrower than the VQ35 and only about 3" longer. It would fit real easily. A cam and longtube headers and it would be a fun 450whp/400wtq street monster and sure easy to work on.

Better be a lot more than 400 my friend. Many of us have over 400 wheel with just a TT kit and a stock block.

You are going through all this to have one of the only G45's in the world.
Major props for taking on this project. I can't wait to see when this thing is done. Too bad I don't live closer, I would love to come check it out.
