Pretty much what I expected to hear. I doubt there ceramic coating is up to par with the JetHot coating however, so if you opt to go with the ceramics, have them stripped and coated

As for stillen headers, i think they are a bit over priced... Dont get me wrong, they are one of the best set of headers on the market, but so are the DC headers... I personally went with the TopSpeed Headers only because i know that they are direct replicas of the very popular DC headers. Lengths, angels, material, welds, and all are the same. Suprisingly great quality for a replica. With the money i saved, i sent them to Jet Hot and had them ceramic coated flat black (obviously for heat reasons, but also so if a cop pops his head under the hood, he wouldnt notice some shiny headers that probably arent CARB legal)

As far the which Jet-Hot application to go with, the 1300 deg. coating will do you just fine. Unless you are running FI or have a built motor, you wont need anything over 1300'

The ceramic coating is primarily for rust protection, because the mild steel headers would rust out in a couple years without it. The coatings they use are typically far less in quality to an aftermarket option such as Jet Hot or Swain. You'll find they don't do much for heat and will tend to chip/flake over time. Mild steel is softer and can flex, contract / expand more than stainless.

Most effective option is stainless w/ an aftermarket coating. Its also the most expensive.
