New Owner...Best bang for buck!

So i just purchased my 06 MT coupe. I would like to know what is the best bang to buck ratio for this vehicle. I came from a fully modded S2000. Although this vehicle, I will try not to go crazy. Looking for something really simple and oem looking. Will def. do and filter like K&n (not sure if that will do anything other then throttle response) I was also thinking about some high flow cats of test pipes although i dont know how that will change the stock exhaust note that I happen to love! Any ideas,...what else can i do...without spending a bunch and without changing the overall appearance??

Thanks in advance!
Jay

Check out Motordyne products....the MREV2 lower plenum and 5/16 or 1/2 inch spacers are really popular and help the engines breathe better. You won't be able to see the lower plenum from the outside, and the spacer is hard to spot unless you know what to look for.

General consensus on intakes is either stay stock airbox (with K&N) and Z tube, or go Stillen/Z tube or JWT/Z tube. Keep in mind that heat soak is a big issue here, and the stock airbox actually does pretty well at flowing air.

HFCs and test pipes will both make the exhaust louder and deeper, but with everything else stock, you'll see minimal gains. I know you love the sound now, but once you here aftermarket exhausts, you'll realize it only gets better.

Throw out your general budget, and we can get a bit more specific on what you can do for that amount of money. Enjoy!

Motordyne MERV2 and 5/16 Spacer, Stillen/z-tube or Pop charger/z-tube, and Fast Intension High Flow Cats (will make the stock exhaust sound louder and deeper)

with the MERV2 and 5/16 Spacer 15-20 hp the intake will help very little but will and i dont think just high flow cats will do much.

why not get an aftermarket exhaust like FI or Stillen they sound like stock just louder

Stillen has the best gains
