mine were loose... even the 6 middle ones I used LocTite on. Maybe I'll go get some of the "permanent" LocTite ("Blue"?) instead of just the regular stuff

8 months ago, with a torque wrench too.

The Motordyne install instructions tell you to use Blue Loctite, which is the semi-permanent stuff. The Red Loctite is the permanent stuff that requires heat and force to remove.

With all of these issues after 6-8 months, I think I might need to check the bolts on my FX...

I wonder if the bolts inside the plenum are loose as well?

ugh, you're right Mmagic... I'm going to have to check those inside the plenum too..

My kit from Motordyne shipped with LocTite... I used what they shipped. But the bolts I used them on were still loose...

I have tightend mine several time already. Seems that you need to torque them several times a year.

Forgot to mention that I checked my throttle body bolts as well and they were loose.

I'm starting to think that the instruction manual needs to mention in their instructions to make sure bolts are tightened every 3 months or so. I was losing power in my car, so you can guess how loose my bolts were

Did you check the bolts inside the plenum? I only tightened the ones on the outside... I was going to check the inner ones but it's such a PITA just to get to them!

Are you referring to the six bolts that hold down the lower plenum? I didn't retorque those yet...now I'm starting to think I should check.

Yup, those ones... if you do check them, let me know if they were loose!

I didn't use any lock-tight and just checked mine...they're all snug & no issues, and I've put about 30K miles on my car since the install.

Weekend looks good actually so I probably will open up the car to redo the whole thing.

Same here. I didn't use locktite. I checked my plenum some several months after install and they were all still tight. I don't get annoying whistling or anything, I just notice that on the highway I've got more speed or the car feels like it has longer legs as it will really keep climbing
