ECU Problem
ECU Problem
Hi Guys,
I have a 2006 Rev-Up 6MT G35 Infiniti and we cannot connect to ECU by OBD diagnostics tool. We can see the BCM parameters, but not the engine parameters. The cooling fan starts to work and the cluster lights are flashing when we turn the ignition on. When we try to start the engine, it is cranking, but it is not working. We have checked all fuses and they are OK. This is different from the limp mode. Isn't it?
We think that there is something wrong with the ECU.
Can anyone help me out with the repair of this unit or can we somehow find a 2nd hand ECU?
I have found some OEM ECUs on ebay motors site, but there are some differences on the part numbers of the ECU.
On my ECU, the following serial number is written:
NISSAN UM MEC61-251 A1 5Y09

I would suggest contacting Technosquare for some pointers.
Even if you were to get another ECU of the same model number the car won't start due to the immobilizer and keys being mated to ECUs, dealers can fix this but sounds like you want to avoid the dealer.

The car is grey import and we don't have any official Infinity dealer in our country. I think we can fix the immobilizer issue with a Nissan dealer.
I'm searching for repair or 2nd hand ECU, since buying a brand new one will cost too much.
