If new use 5W-30 regular oil till you hit 10-12K miles. Once you hit the 10K mark you can use synthetic. A good cheep synthetic oil is Moble-1 full synthetic that you can get a Wall-Mart. Use a K&N OR AMS oil filter if you are going to run this oil for 5-6K miles. If money is no option the best oil is AMSOIL synthetic 0W-30 and use with their AMSOIL filter. This seems to be the best rated oil for the VQ.

I got 50K on my, I got it about 2 months ago and this will be my first oil change. I also got myself a magnetic oil drain plug. Does anybody know if I can buy Amsoil 0w-30 at Pepboys.

Great feedback. Brings up question I have as a noob. Have always enjoyed doing the "easy" maintenence items however was disappointed to find that there is no service manual (Haynes or other) available and that all shops I have contacted here will not work on Infinities as Infinity does not release their service manuals. So.....what do ya'll do? Dealer here in SA wants $900 for a 60k service. I find that a little rediculous.
