I've noticed this and it's been bothering me for 2 weeks now, so now I'm posting...

IM Racing is selling Power Enterprise timing belts for use on the VQ3DE...Umm...We have silent-type stainless steel timing chains...I'm sure the majority of the owners here that are modding their rides know not to purchase this item, but I figured I should make everyone aware...Makes me question IM Racing as well- they should know the VQ35DE doesn't utilize a traditional belt

This reminds me of a story a while back on 60 minutes or something, where a lady took her Maxima into a Nissan dealership for an oil change, and was recommended a whole bunch of other work. The lady agreed, and paid for the service. A little while later, a guy friend of her's checked out the receipt, and noticed a few oddities (sp?). Turned out, the dealer charged the poor lady for new timing belt, distributor and spark plug wires, none of which the Maxima has. The hosts of the show went to the dealership, to ask a few questions, to which the service manager had no answers. I'm sure that service department ended up in deep doo doo for that one.

 

I personally dont like I-M-Racing.com .......... I ordered the Gialla Corsa body kit from them and paid in full up front... 3 months later - i call them - ask where my kit is - they say wait anohter two months.. i call them 5 months later -- they say the order has been F!ed up and I can either wait 2 more months, or they will refund me the $.. they ahve VERY POOR communication and I ALWAYS had to call THEM to find out whats up.
