Oil Pan Spacer Kit

Would buying http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/cus...asp?PartID=449 be a bad idea if you dont really like messing with that pain in the as$ dipstick between oil changes? And if you have plans to turbo your car at some point anyways? LOL just wanting opinions

Hi Louie. It sure looks like a good idea to me. Being able to increase the oil sump capacity will always help the engine to run cooler and last longer. It will also help the oil itself to last longer. The only thing I can see that might present a problem is road clearance. You sure wouldn't want something in the road to hit the oil pan, puncture it and turn your engine into a 500 lb. paperweight because of a total loss of oil.

I'm not sure what you're refering to with the dipstick. You still need to check your oil IMO if that's what you're talking about. Yes it can't hurt NA and if you decide to go FI down the road you'll have a way to easily tap the oil pan. Only downside I see is the added cost of an extra quart per change. I would go APS and then you wouldn't have to worry about any clearance issues, which wouldn't be much to begin with.

One thing to keep in mind is that many of the turbo kits allready come with a spacer or new pan. JWT comes with an oil spacer, for example.
