Purged valve??

I took the car to the dealer 4 days ago because check engine light was on. The dealer just called me and told me i had a purged valve.

This is the first time i have ever heard "purged valve". Do any of u know what that means. Does that mean valves were NOT working, if so how was the car moving?

The purge valve is part of the evaporative emissions on a vehicle,if you dont have to take any smog tests dont worry about it.If you do have to take a test you will fail with the check engine light on.

Well they have already fixed it, eventhough i have mods on the car. I just wanted to know the technical part of it.

It has to do with the excessive fuel vapor emission from a vehicle and what it does is purge the system of vapor back into a charcoal canister.

^thanks! I thought it was an engine damage of some kind. So it has nothing to do with valves inside the engine right?
