V8 conversion for a G coupe....

So... I know some other infiniti cars (M & SUV) come with V8's. Has anyone seen a thread or know of someone that has put a V8 in a coupe? Even did a google search and came up dry.

There is no way I am the first person to have this idea. Do you guys know of anything out there?

and if money was no object I would add twin turbos to the deal (and new drivetrain, tranny, rear end and brakes ofcourse). Can you imagine?

Thanks

dam this idea crossed my mind so many times. drop a 5.6 v8 out of a titan and do turbo, exhaust, and tune. man the g would move! imagine what people would think. you pull up to the light next to a c6 z06 and rev, then he says i thougt thought those cam with v6's lol

I don't think it would be a good idea. Sure it will be fast in the straits but what about taking turns. G's front is already heavy imagine how much a V8 would through off the balance of the car.

there are a handful that i have seen over on my350z, the logistics of the swap should be extremely similar. the latest i saw was an ls1 or ls2 swap, the motor ended up weighing only 60lbs more of which about 35 lbs could be offset by relocating the battery to the trunk.

^wow only 60lbs, i would think LS1 or LS2 would be heavier than that. If its 60 lb it isn't that bad consider what u said, relocating the battery to the trunk.

VK isn't no heavier than a VQ with a TT kit, its all aluminum and not much larger. Most TT kits add 75 a quick lbs to the front of the vehicle.

I think Chris Forsberg of Drift Alliance is rocking a V8 Titan motor in his 350z convertible.

Big thread of an LS2 swap into a 350Z

http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=310010

Lots of power, torque, and easy to upgrade. And fuel economy would probably be the same
