Each car doesn't put out exactly the power that is stated by the company. The gains (or losses) from an intake only are minimal, and even with his exhaust, its all still a drivers race.

How much are you beating him by? What transmissions do you guys have?

Dont take this as any disrepect way cause i know your old school g35 member but none is intended...

From my researching and what im planning on getting is a stillen exhuast gen 1 is suppose to be the BIGGEST bang for us sedan guys due to the dual piping from x piping to muffler...and even more so for us non rev-up guys its better then the spacers.

But if this is for a coupe then yeah the spacers would be the best bang for the buck...i guess for some years and coupe vs sedan it can verify

But the Stillen is about $1000 for 21-23 hp and the MD spacer is only $260 (less if you go through where I bought mine) for 11-15 hp. So thus, the spacer is best bang for the buck. These are claimed hp from the manufacturer's website.

true true but i'd rather get the exhuast as it makes more power even though power to money(aka bang for the buck) but then again if i have a reup i would def go with the mrev2 and spacers etc.

lol

Might as well get the Cosworth bolt-on motor to go with that...

bolt on NA, higher gears from what Ive read. there are trade offs though with that route.

Everything is bolt on somewhat...swapping an engine in is technically bolted in the tranny and engine mounts

Bolts ons average about $100 per lb/ft how many lb/ft do you want. It takes 10 to reduce quarter mile by 0.1 seconds.

The Iso thermal comes with a gasket that reduces direct thermal transfer from the block.

I'm not an expert on the moding stuff cuz it's my first car that I'm actually moding but I tell you what I was told by the experts and what I read on this site.

Numerous of times it have been mentioned on this site that with bolt on mods you DON'T make power. You RELEASE power that you already have.

So all of this mods are very very very limited.

Also it makes huge diff if your car is MT or AUTO with some mods.

For example..........Grounding kit will not do **** for MT but will make some diff for AT.

I have intake and spacer and when I dynoed my car the shop owner told me that I dynoed 2 hp less then stock MT (I have auto) G.

So I can proudly say that spacer and intake do release bout 10-20 HP

IMO best mods that actually do something and don't make you broke are:

INTAKE
SPACER
Grounding kit (for AT)
Maybe pulley set.........(I'm not sure on that one, but I want to try it)

Other mods that will release more power but cost a bit more are:

EXHAUST
HEADERS
PLENUM (prolly does same thing as spacer but just cost more)
VALVE BODY (also for AT)

Good luck.
