blew my motor....parts help
Its hard to tell what the problem is when we can hear/see whats going on. Why dont you try and make a small clip of the noise that the motor is making so that we can really help you. It dosent really sound like your motor is blown, I would think it is more of a problem with the pullies that you just had installed. Try and make a video, there is no reason to spend money to have a motor rebuilt. Also if the motor is blown, mabe you should just try and buy a complete used engine. I dont know what shipping would be, but I have seen complete motors for 2,000-2,500$.
did you put the pulleys on correct with the right torque?? and are the belts on them correctly..and tensioned? make sure the crank pulley is on all the way and that the little key(cant remmmeber what is called), peice of metal, is slipped into the crank and the pulley..its a marker so that your pulley can only go on one way..also that bolt needs to be torqued down quite abit! something could be rubbing against something else or tapping against something too..my .02.. GL tho!!
I going to sound like Captian Obvious, but since the noise started shortly after installed the pulley(s) then why not reinstall the stock pulley(s) and see if the noise goes away. It would be far easier to remove the likely culprit then to assume major engine damage.
Is this an auto or 6MT? If it's a 6MT, you didn't misshift did you?

Reminds me of a story where Iraqi commander needed new Humvee because he had 4 flat tires. US suggested he take 4 new tires and wheels and swap them on Humvee and drive it back so flat tires could be repaired. It took days for the process to sink thru and get Humvee back working.
