Coupe Middy rattling
I recently got the coupe middy installed thanks to jnthnsg35 & G35pinoy! Love the sound and I love driving my G even more!!!!
I tried searching, but no luck on the rattling. There's this rattling coming from the rear after the install. My friend said it sounds like its coming from inside the cabin though. I padded the license plate as well, but its starting to get annoying. I'm thinking of taking out the back and padding the loose wires I've read rattled on some other cars but just wanted to know if anyone else had this issue after getting a coupe middy installed and if they found what was rattling~

This is a common issue with a coupe midpipe. There are two places you need to look for clearance issues. One is the heat shield protecting the driveshaft. You need to inspect the clearance between the midpipe muffler and the shield. Clearance needs to be at least 1/2". The second point to inspect is the lower exhaust cross bar that goes underneath the rear of the midpipe. The bar is about 1/4" thick and is attached to the chassis with two 14mm nuts. Clearance on the bar needs to be 1/2". If the clearance is tight on the heatshield, the shield needs to be bent upwards for more clearance. If the cross bar is the issue, then washers need to be added as shims to increase clearance.
