Air Filter For Procharged G35/help!!

well last time i posted in forced induction ,my main drive gear had melted to my procharger mounting brachet, i finally got it back today from repairs, which was covered by procharger, im told the blades in my blower are chipped up and are actually slightly bending im told the is no air filter on my blower, only a small screen..a place here ion louisville called tachyeon.."www.tachyeon.com" recommended to put a turbo type air filter on, they said they'd do it..but it would cost me...anyone run into this problem..theres no space to put..the only was to make this work is to cut the core composite the blower rests against heres a pic of the space issue...if this needs to be cut...what should i use to do so?....thanks for your help.:note blower REST'S on core compostie

You can make a cut, add two bends and couplers and make something like I did for my Greddy kit.

From the angle of your picture it's hard to tell how much room you actually have but you may luck out and find a small filter similar to the setup on my Cougar. See below:

The filter posted above is about 3". I'd agree that cutting a hole and running the filter behind the bumper is a better idea as the air would be cooler.
