should my procharger B loud??..REALLY loud!!

well i dropped the car off at infiniti to get the radio fixed...and they told me the procharger should NOT sound the way mine does...sounds very rough...and rattles alot...they said could be something with bearings?? anyone elses sound extremely loud while idle-ing??..will try to post video with sound clip,if i can figure it out. thanks for the help

I think someone else on the forum had a similar problem. He replaced the pulleys and the problem was fixed. Check out his thread:https://g35driver.com/forums/forced-induction/97089-vortech-pulley-bearing-noise.html

thanks for the help guys...not sure how to solve this problem though...the prochager kit only has maybe 1000 miles on it...so i dont think bearings are bad in pully's..."sigh"...maybe it should sound the way it does..??i guess ill know if it blows or something...its under warranty anyways...thanks for the input

I've had 2 diffrent cars with prochargers and they both sounded very rough, i even sent one back to procharger they said it was all normal sounds. so i just leaned to deal with it

Yea the supercharger was very obnoxious, the shop that did my supercharger never heard the procharger before, and went they fired it up for the first time they thought there was something wrong with the charger haha. But in the end, it ran fine, so I just delt with it.

well i put an intake on the blower and now it is alittle quieter...sounds good on the road..BIG difference...can hear the turbo spool very well

the blower on a procharger kit and a turbo are the same jackass....theyre both turbine driven...one by exhaust ..the other by belt...none the less the blower/turbo spools
