Coolant controle valve for Motordyne

Hi all,
I just am in the middle of putting my 5"16 space in. I have the isothermal and copper TB upgrade, but is in necessary to put in a coolant control valve??
I live in Canada and it does snow here and gets damn cold so i got the copper TB, but its says the CCV is an optional install.
What are the benefits...is it really necessary??

THanks!!

I'm in Toronto & didn't have any problem without it.
With the Copper TB you're good to go!

I bypassed the coolant through the TB all togehter. just take a length of hose and run it from the "heater" pipe on the drivers side of the engine and connect it to the "coolant pipe" on the back of the engine. you'll use the same nipples, but you are bypassing the throttle body from the coolant loop.

What size and length of hose did you use?
