?'s about Motrdyne spacer and AT G...

Alright well I have read up on the spacers from motordyne website and also searched and read some post here. I hear good things about the spacers but how about putting them in an AT instead of the 6mt??....Same results???
Also which one should I get???

I have a 04 coupe AT...No other mods might look in to z tube and intake with the spacer mod also. What kind of results would I be lookin at??

Thanks for the help...

Also does it give it a different sounding exhaust???....I like the stock exhaust just want it a bit deeper and more tone. Or would I need some HFC to get that kind of sound???

Thanks.

Sound didn't change dramatically, possibly slightly deeper?
As far as deep tone exhaust, I hear borla does deep tones well.

If you want HFC, I would suggest fast intentions. Great sound!

It won't matter which one you put it in....it will be the same result either way!

I went with the 5/16 iso-thermal spacer which I got a great deal on through one of the vendors on my350z (new: $201.50 shipped)

http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329236

The spacer is supposed to give you a little deeper note than stock but I won't be able to confirm this until I get mine installed!

Thread fail. Do some searches, go to Motordyne's website. There have been countless dyno's with and without.

Absolutely.
On a NON-revup engine, its the same gains weather you are AT or 6MT .

Thanks for the help guys. I am going to place an order for that Motordyne spacer as soon as I get my check....

Oh almost forgot after install do you reset the ECU??

Now time to go over to the DIY section and see how hard the install is.

No...for my350Z.com

You won't need to re-flash the ECU with just a spacer mod

in a nutshell, no.

There isn’t any point in returning or selling the 1/2" to get the 5/16"

most dyno have shown 5/16" for mid, 1/2" for top end... in all honesty it is very doubtful you would know the difference when driving... If someone installed a 5/16" then 1/2" back to back and didn't tell you which was which, I would bet money you couldn’t tell (unless you guess correct).

Most people like the 5/16" because it fits under cover and strut bar easier - and because they have read all the mention of "better power under the curve"...

If you have 1/2" already it really isn’t worth trading... if you are deciding which one to get and want to follow the common trend get the 5/16"... both will give notable gains and I'm certain you would not be disappointed with either.
