I went to go start my car today and nothing happened. All of the lights came on the radio works, and everything the only thing that is not right is where it says what gear its in like P,R,N,D, its just blank. Nothing is there i will go thew the gears if i turn the key to on and put my foot on the brake but it does not show anything on the display. Any ideas, i have my negative off right now im gana try resetting my ECU. I was thinking it could be a fuse but i dk wat one also the brake peddle is depressed and will not release not sure if that has anything to do with it.

 

Try putting it into the Neutral position... also, resetting the ECU might do the trick.

 

i tired it in N no luck but i am reseting the ECU now how long should i leave the negative off for?

 

12 hours I believe. There is also a way to reset the ECU without disconnecting the battery, lemme find the thread.

Follow Msedanman's instructions, it may take you 10+ tries to get the timing just right, but it works.

 

when u put it in neutral, does the N show on the indicator. Might be something with the neutral safety switch

 

No nothing happens there is nothing on the display i checked all of the fuses i cant figure it out

 

your crank sensor might be bad...when you try to turn your car over does it try to crank but not turn over or is your car just dead? if its not cranking your starter might be bad or your battery could just be really low

 

it does not do anything at all i turn the key and all the lights go off until l i let of the key and then everything turns back on the radio, ect..

 

Check the fuse block under the battery compartment cover.

 

does ur AT CHECK like come on?

 

try charging the battery if that doesnt do it then its the starter
