Very very rare for body shops to return a wrecked car to good as new because of the number of NEW parts required.

Good enough so the typical customer won't notice defects until it's too late, good enough so the Insurance companies don't blackball them for spending too much.

Whenever major body work is done HIRE an INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT to check work of body shops. The few hundred you pay might just get you thousands in additional repairs.

i think i am going to have to, this is at the dealerships body shop next door, handled by the dealership completely, im probably going to find another shop since i clearly cant trust my stealership, who is the only one for several hundred miles. im not knocking the service department since they've been pretty cool, their tech's seem to have some far out theories BUT they do give me a loaner!

Any ideas where i can get a front lower crossmember? How critical could this potentially be?
