Exclamation SOLID Motor mounts

Hey I was looking for some information on solid motor mounts, I know there are a few companies that make them for the G and I know a set are up for sale in the marketplace right now but I have heard some conflicting things about them and wanted some peoples opinions/facts.

pros:
increases engine response
more "solid" vehicle feel
some lower the engine slightly (lower center of gravity) = better handling

cons:
lower engine blocks gt spec braces (not sure witch one)
"solid" feel can make for to much vibration and can be uncomfortable

I dont really know anything about solid motor mounts aside from what they are (the obvious) so im looking for some imput from everyone, are they a good idea or even worth it?

if you are stock or moderately modified don’t bother... if you are putting down insane power it's a consideration.

Could anyone elaborate as to why not, is there no real noticeable performance gains or feel? Is the added chassy vibration from the engine that bad? In theory it should act like an engine torque damper but better (right)?
I was hoping to get some impute from someone who had maybe tried them b/c like I said I dont know much about solid mounts so I was hoping for a little more than a "NO+1".

No performance gains at all given a stock, mild, or even moderate setup. The only time when you really want a solid motor mount is when you're doing a serious drag or circuit setup where that 1/10sec reaction time and consistency is key. The solid mounts will take out the variable of the engine having to shift when the clutch is dumped.

Out on the street, it's useless, adds wear and tear, and just makes the driving experience horrible.

I've have them in another car, not the G35... and they definitely diminish ride quality and comfort. The car that I do have them is strictly for racing only, so comfort comes second. While there is a slight increase in engine response, you can feel every vibration, and where on normal mounts every time I would push the pedal down and the engine torqued to the side, on solid mounts the entire car now torques to the side.

For a daily driven car that is mostly stock, I wouldn't recommend them - the gains are not worth the loss in comfort IMO. But for a car that is tracked, or that is putting down serious power... I'd say go for it.
