Actually there's a big thread about a shop doing a 2JZ into a 350z. Which would be for all mechanical / electrical purposes be indentical to a swap into a G.

I don't know where they are getting that the VQ is the new 2jZ. It is in now way even close to the 2JZ motor. The VQ is a good motor, but imo it kind of sucks...you have to do way to much work to it. If nissan had made the Z's and G's with a motor that could withstand upwords 600whp on a stock block then we might be talking, but they didn't.

Anyways, keep us updated! I had a guy that was going to do this for me, but it required taking my car out of state and i didn't want to do this. If anything goes wrong with the car then i have no idea how to fix it and neither does anyone else. I would have to drive/tow it back up to him. I desided against it.
