replace coil pack?

has anyone replaced their coil pack? my problem is that the check engine soon light came on and so i read the code and it states multiple cylinder misfire i changed out all the spark plugs and still the same code comes up and yes i did erase the code after changing the spark plugs...anyone help

stupid question, but is the car actually misfiring? And what kind of plugs did you use?

Well as far as the car misfiring thats a no but the damn engine code comes up after i erase it and as far as plugs i use NGK iridium

thats wierd... by the way our car takes the ngk 6240 or plfr5a-11 which is a platinum plug not iridium... how many miles are on the car? and are you sure its not misfiring at idle? what code did you get?

what kind of gas do you use? have you looked for exhaust leaks?

the car has 22,000 and no its a clean run at idle damn and as far as the code number im not sure but i do remember that it states random/multiple cyclinder misfire...gas usage would be shell premium and as far as the k/n filter yes i do i just installed that last weekend...

i really haven't seen these cars give coil pack problems... see if you can get me the code so that i can try and help you... if you get a random multiple cylinder misfire, if you drive the car for a while you usually will also get a specific cylinder, and then if thats the case you can change the coil pack... loose grounds can also cuz that code to come up, but if you haven't messed with anything recently i wouldnt worry about that...

Has it rained in your area or have you washed your G recently?? I had this problem after heavy rains earlier this year here in SoCal. Moisture got into my ignition system and blew 2 coil packs on my passenger side. I got the P0300 code btw.

im going to have to get an scanner read again and check the code i will post the code as soon as possible thanks to all of you for your tips which hey hexxum did your car run abnormal when the 2 coil packs were blown? and i wash my car with the water running on the car not at it...and i dont drive the car for a couple of hours after washing it.... but yea i will scan again here in the next couple of days...

my car is running fine but my service engine light came on.. i took it to autozone and i got the P0300 code.. so wut do i need to change???

its random cylinder misfire...i tried changing the spark plugs and still that damn code pops up
