Fumoto Valve
Just got my Fumoto F-103N today. Good price from Lubrication Specialist, LLC for $21.95 + $3 S&H.
You guys that are using them. Did you just use the fiber washer supplied or did you use the Infiniti Crush Washer? I noticed the crush washer has to thread on flat side out if I use it.

Re: Fumoto Valve
I got mine a while ago and it works great. Makes changing the oil a lot easier.
I just used the washer that comes in the kit. Three oil changes, and no leaks. Did you get the one with the nipple?
Regards,
John

Yes, the 'N' designates the nipple which looks bigger than I thought it would be. Should drain fine. I heard some say that it takes longer because of the nipple. You have the same one?

Re: Fumoto Valve
I went nipple-less and used the washer that was included. I've read that others have used multiple washers so the valve thread would not intrude so far into the oil pan.... not really necessary but some do get a little **** about the tablespoon of oil that may be left in the pan.

Some have said though if I remember, that they thought we should use the crush washer. Yeah, I've heard some that even cut off a bit of the end or cut a slot in the end of it, so they can drain every drop! What did you guys torque the Fumoto to?

Thanks. Did it about 9 years ago and it still looks good!

With the nipple you can attach a plastic tube to it and drain the oil directly into a receptacle of some kind.

Re: Fumoto Valve
I have the nipple-less one. It drains slower than it would normally via the regular drain plug, but the one you have is slower than the one I have.
My neighbor bought one like yours for his Honda, and it does drain slower. He may not have let the engine warm up enough though. I'll pay more attention and ask him next time.

John

Went to an auto parts store and another company makes them too, though not exactly the same, for less than $10. I think it was Autozone.

Great price if it was for the Fumoto. I was looking for the best price, but couldn't find it for any less than what I paid. Only cheaper one I could find was the Fram I think.
