Question REVUP or non REVUP that is the question

I have an 03 A/T coupe and i was wondering if it was a REV UP engine? I was also wondering what the difference between the two engines are. In addition if i don't have a REVUP engine is the motordyne Merv 2 manifold a worthless upgrade for my car or will i still get some added h.p. Finally has anyone installed a Lower Plenum. http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/pro...roducts_id=292Thanks for the help

I believe the REV-UP engines were on the '05+ G35s, making yours not a rev-up. The difference between the two is HP. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but the non rev-up engines have higher torque, not quite as much HP, the rev-ups have more HP, not quite as much torque.

The rev ups have exhaust cam timing, earlier ones do not. Rev ups also have a higher redline, resulting in higher hp. . .

You should be fine with just the spacer on your vq. . .talk to Tony about the MREV2 on your engine, I've heard they don't do much for the pre-rev ups. . .i'm a little puzzled on this as well as I told him I had an 04 and he suggested it so I have both. . .

The MREV2 was tested on a nonrevup 04 G35 Sedan a while back.
It was initially called MMP before it was named MREV2.

You can see the NONREVUP dyno plots below both with and without a spacer.

Yah I've seen your dyno graphs on your site, i can really feel the difference, especially with our uber winters up here lol. I was just puzzled as to why people are saying that the MREV2 isn't benificiary on the non revups. . .
