My Engine's Shaking?

On my way home from work, my service engine light turned on, I immediately called infiniti service and set an appoitment up for friday, as I drove home I noticed the car felt shaky, so I pulled over to check under the hood in case anything serious might be going on. The engine was clearly shaking way may than usual. Anyone know what this might be??

Also, I started using regular gas for the first time this week, due to prices being too hight, could that be way, I've been using premium all year up until this week.

Another reason is I installed a Z-tube, and a pop charger about 1 1/2 months ago, but I doubt that could be it, unless the connections are loose??

ANY ADVICE OR INPUT ON WHAT THIS COULD BE, OR IF THE Z-TUBE POP CAUSE THIS WOULD BE HELPFUL.

Switch back to Premium or use a octane booster at every fill up.

Your engine is prob. suffering from Pre. Ignition and that could very well cause Knocking/ Excessive engine noise.

Keep us updated on the outcome.

def. get that premium back in there. I did the same thing when I first got my car by puttin the cheap gas in there and I got the result pretty much the same as what you have right now.

Thanks guy's, I was thinking it might of been the fuel, but so many guys said it makes no difference except make the car a bit slower, guess they were wrong.

I'll try some premium today and let you guy know the results.
