Green tamper ID bolts

I have read the several DIY on this forum and a few others dealing with the G35 K&N replacement air filter. They all mention to remove the bolt holding the air box to the frame. My question is about removing this bolt. It is one of those green painted tamper bolts. If it is unscrewed or unbolted it will show that the bolt had been removed. Is this a problem? Or is there a way to remove it without marking the head of the bolt? I got my K&N filter today and want to put it in but will be pissed if I mark the head of that bolt and have the dealer give me a hard time.

Call me what you will but I have a good relationship with my dealer and dont want to blow it on just trying to install a stupid air filter.

Any thoughts and comments would help me out a lot.

How do the dealers do it without marking these bolts up?

There is no reason to be concerned! The K&N replacement
filter will cause your dealer no problems. Just put it in and
enjoy it.

Re: Green tamper ID bolts

SO I tried with a screw driver and was too afraid to muck up the bolt so I decided to go by the right tools. Sure I had a one around the house somewhere but went out anyway and bought a nice 55 piece craftsman socket wrnech and took out the bolt no problems. Thanks for the convincing...didnt take much ... i just needed to man up and do it. Installed it tonight finally and will head out for a drive shortly to see how it feels... not expecting any changes ... just want to make sure she prrrrrrs as usual. 10mm socket wrench was the way to go. bolt still looks "green" besides the slight scratches i created with a screw driver... I am over it and feel fine about it... enough long wind...

OK, now that your courage is up, go buy a 350Z intake duct
and install it. Just go do it! You won't be sorry............
