dealership said they cant raise idle??!!?

i have the vortech supercharger on my car and like most of you i have the chatter sound during idle. i read on this forum that raising the idle to approximately 900rpms would resolve the problem or at least quiet it down. i went to the infiniti dealership today to get it done and the technician said that they cant raise the idle because the computer would automatically correct itself back to the factory idle. in addition, he mentioned that the only other way was to the adjust the idle air valve or something on the throttle body which would ruin the throttle body. it sounded like he was talking out of his *** but since i dont know enough about the way our cars work i couldnt call him on it. if someone else has had this done please enlighten me on what i need to do. thanks in advance.

Any dealer can raise the idle. But apparantly this tech doesn't know what he's talking about.

Go to another dealer or have someone with a Cipher raise your idle. I got mine raised to 850 via Cipher from a local member.

The Cipher can raise your idle for 03 and 04, but not 04.5

Yeah take the car to another dealer. That guy was obviously RETARDED. Raising the idle takes about 5 minutes lol

Why not with the '04.5?

The dealership uses a Consult II and should be able to adjust your idle.
