Just by a vq35 and a manual and start spending some $$$ See how far you can get, trial and error man.

There's a lot of information available on this site. If you're really willing to do the work to build the motor, the place to start is by researching what your options are before you flood the forum with questions that have been asked and answered a hundred times.

You'll get much better advice from the guys who have been where you want to go if you come into the arena with a little knowledge you've gained on your own. Once you know who has done what to produce measurable results, you'll know who and what to ask to understand the process.

My .02.
Thank you!!!

I guess I should buy what everyone else puts aftermarket engines into like a camaro or firebird or dump my money into some piece of crap honda or dodge neon like so many idiots do.
I think you need to drive some cars that handle better than the G.

And FYI, I've dumped a LOT of money on my 'piece of crap honda.'

If G35 looks do it for you, then there's no question about the car you should get, but although the G handles well, it's NOT a sports car. It's a sporty LUXURY car.

Yes, you can fit it.

Sounds like you still have alot of research to do in the VQ community before you are ready to make such a big financial decision.

If you want 600hp, should have bought a MKIV SUPRA for similar price as new G. Get you there quicker and cheaper than upgrading a G. NAs dont handle turbos as well as turbo cars with bigger turbos.

What you need is a huge turbo like a T78. It should bolt right up with no fabrication. Then you need some NOS and don't forget the stickers either.

If you have any questions ask your dealer, they usually know the best way to increase the power of your G35.

Infiniti designed the G35 to handle at least 30PSI of boost on the stock internals. Ive been daily driving mine for years.

What you want to do is EASILY $20,000. Which you may have, I have no idea though. I will say what others have said above. You bought the wrong car. Should have atleast stayed away from an X and got a RWD. A 500whp car has more than enough power you will need for the street, trust me. You are talking about 600hp and what not but it is a totally different story when you daily drive it. To me it woud get old plus the ride will not be as nice as another/better car. For example corvette or M5 or GTR.

If you want to go blow all of that money away on your X than fine. I could really care less. It's your car, your money. Do as you please. But I see no point in modding a car to have 600hp for a DD. From factory it is a different story. But whatever.

Ha ha... its not my thread homie... I was just adding to the mayhem!!

I just got a fully built motor and with labor and all it came out to be about $10,000. I'm shooting for 550whp and even with this setup it won't be that easy.
Power lab kit = about 6k -7k....
any little miscellaneous stuff = about 1k...
dyno time w/ tune = about 500-1k...
LABOR = about 1 - 2k

so already about another $11,000...... PLUS more headaches with boost leaks and any other issues.

G35X to get 1000whp = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ + luck
