Anyone try a Sprint Booster?

First, I already know this product has very mixed results with the Z's. We purchased 2 of these to test the Z/G market and realized it wasn't profitable enough to get into.

So I have two BRAND NEW Sprint Boosters for sale, one auto and one manual.

Price is 265.00 shipped anywhere in the world.

I tried posting this in classifieds and it kept giving me an error message.

I'll be more then happy to answer any technical questions about this product. I just need to get rid of these.

Thanks,

Anthony

Reminds me of the George Carlin comedy routine about left-over food: “do you want this? I'm gonna throw it away anyway”

It's not that I'm throwing them away, but I really have no exposure to the platform. I figured if there was someone that was thinking about getting one then this would be a good deal.

But the George Carlin thing was pretty funny.

Try it out. If you don't like it send it back and you're only out the shipping cost (2.50). These are doing me no good just sitting on the shelf. I'd rather let someone enjoy them.

initial bog?

I'm not all that familiar with this product, but from what little info I could ascertain it seems as though all it's doing is addressing the OEM 80% throttle plate open at WOT - by allowing to open 100%... most re-flashed will do this so anyone looking for this type of mod probably already has the benefit from a re-flash

I could be entirely wrong.

But what "initial bog" are you referring to? If you mean the ECU power cut from brake torque, I highly doubt this would help that... if so boatloads would be sold and dozens of posts would be raving about it (including me!!!)

From the graphs I see, it alters the throttle pedal rate. ie.. as if you were pressing the gas pedal down faster. Looks to alter the E-Throttle pedal signal to tell the ecu the pedal is pressed down more than it actually is.

I don't "think" it can address the 80% vs 100% throttle opening thing. Especially "if" it can only alter the signal it's given. Interesting point though. Would be interesting to see if it gave you let's say 85-90% at the end of the range or something

that could be it too... Osiris has this control and Shawn Church has developed some impressive use of this ability.

So give the Sprint a try Jeff... seems a bit pricey for limited function - but I guess if its what you're after maybe its worth it?

Basically it amplifies the signal being sent to the throttle body. This results in a crisper throttle response. It will not overcome the 80% TB issue.

The best thing I can compare it to is a normal car is like driving with turbo lag and with the sprint booster it is more of a highly tuned N/A car.

This problem is huge with Mercedes and I'm learning it effects the non-M BMWs as well. I don't claim to know how well this product will work in these cars, but they are application specific so it's not just a universal plug and play.
