Before/After Mod Info
Are you just looking for something that will totally disable vdc and enable standing burnouts?
I don't know what it takes on an 04 5AT, but I can disable my vdc in under 3 minutes at the track.

OCG35- Have you tried disconnecting the yaw sensor under the drink holder of the center console? On my G, it turns off the VDC and traction control. The launch feels stronger, but I really can't know until I go to the strip. I may go to the strip here in a week or so in the dead of summer because I've got so many little things I want to try at the strip that I don't think I can wait until October
I know I'll be slow, but how much slower.

Y interest is not for standing burnouts… it’s to do 2K-2500 rmp launch – which in an AT we can only do by applying brake and throttle at same time (brake torque)…. I’ve though about doing the grey box plug near brake fluid reservoir – but I was so sure that a module would be developed that I never bothered with other methods… I guess I need to re-visit.

I know I'll be slow, but how much slower. My only concern/dissuasion from the yaw sensor is I don't like removing interior pieces too often... the fit & finish isn’t very good to start with... some of the things that have been removed for other projects end up causing more rattles... Its not important enough to me to risk more vibrations and rattles.
If I don’t end up with a module, I’ll probably try one of the methods you and Trey mentioned (I know they are old tricks, I’ve been aware of them for quite some time)…
There is another factor though that I always like to consider – I like to run at the track just as I would on the streets… sometimes I don’t even take mats, spare and jack out… But I do need the option of finding the best ET so I will give some of the mentioned methods a shot at some point.

My car dyno'd 241/210 stock. After a stillen airbox, motordyne 5/16 spacer, mrev+ lower plenum, ichiba headers, kinetic resonated test pipes, stillen exhaust, utec with a tune, ngk iridium spark plugs, jtw flywheel, and a custom oil catch can, I dyno'd 265/250.
"alot more than 30hp" - that's funny.

psedog! Thanks for reviving this thread!!! Not because of the reference post above, but because it made me re-read previous posts...
To all that have read (and are following) any of my brake torque posts... I have data logged ECU drag strip function off idle and brake torque... it is well over 20 seconds of detailed data to analyze - and admittedly I haven’t spent the time required to determine everything - however, I looked at enough to know I'm not imagining things... the details are being evaluated by UpRev...
I'm not certain I was able to log all that’s needed for an absolute - our 1/4 track doesn’t provide many runs... I have offered UpRev a bunch of launches at local 1/8 mile track that provides 8-10 runes per night (and without the subconscious pressure of 1/4 mile showmanship)... if what few runs I gave from ¼ mile isn’t enough, I’ll give more.
I'll let UpRev announce any "fix" to the problem.
BTW - they suspected the "problem" and had viable reason to know it exists before my logs being sent (not just from my concerns) - they are using my data logs to isolate and confirm what is suspected.
To those that haven’t realized it's an issue... stand by - when the fix is in you'll probably agree/admit it’s a problem (like so many things in life).
