My car is angry...

problem: car wouldn't start, battery was low, so a local shop added battery fluid or whatever into it and tried to start but car wouldn't start, tested battery and was fine.

thinks : alternator?

but tonight i was gonna push it to park it in front of the house so when the tow truck comes it'll be easier to load and take it to the dealer, but i decided to try and start it, so i started it...

pop-pop-pop- BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! VROOOM! VROOOOM!

and i was like wtf?

the engine...it didn't even sound like it was on..

but the car was running, i revved it a few times and i can barely hear the engine, i took it around the block to see what was up and it was quicker than a bat flying out of hades! but i got home and i parked it, and popped the hood and could barely hear anything, except the belt was a little squeaky...

which is weird? i think..cause i never remember my engine being so quiet, i thought it was normally a little louder and more things going on...or i might be a total noob to my car.

anybody had this happened to their G? i'm gonna take it to the dealer tomorrow and hopefully they'll fix it without raping my wallet.

Doesn't really make a lot of sense... I guess about the only thing I could remotely think of is perhaps the intake is heavily clogged and it was chocked out, and now it's loose enough to get a little air... but that'd make it seem incredibly slow all the same. If any of the exhaust was loose/broken it'd be extremely loud... Honestly with my car if I'm idle, in the car with the a/c on max and no radio... the engine is really "quiet" but outside of the car you can definitely hear it. VQ's aren't exactly quiet motors. Also if the batt is over 3 years old I'd probably change it anyway, especially out here in AZ. Good luck with the issue, hopefully it's nothing...

Someone must have stolen you engine and replaced it with a flux capacitor

maybe take it to Peoria Infiniti talk to Ryan and tell him I sent you maybe he will look at it for free? The 31 point inspection is free, from what I remember. It looked like your car was fine at the ez lube??

Floyd in AZ

^ i've set up an appointment with infiniti of scottsdale for tomorrow at 8am, since today was booked, idk it's really weird - on saturday it basically "died" while I was getting an oil change and then it worked again, came home, it wouldn't start up again and then yesterday it started up and then didn't work, and this morning it worked and I drove it to class...

so i really don't know what is up with my car

flux capacitor i'm guessing would be noticeably loud; while my engine is so quiet you could hear a cricket chirping at 2 in the morning

my flux capacitor is quiet... only because it is carbon fiber.

I would have to say the same think about the battery, cause i had to change my battery after 5 years. If a vehicle has a major air leak it could start really rough ,but i'm not sure about the super quiet running.
