I am curious for those who got replacement batteries for your car. What kind did you get and how much? My original plan was to go to Sears and purchase a die hard battery for $79 I believe. Not sure if it's a lifetime warranty.
But anything to revive my dead car. I'm hoping the car will start if I get a new battery... Damn optima. I will never waste $200 on that again.

Hi nyckid. There may very well be nothing wrong with the battery at all, but there may be a drain on the battery, (like maybe an alarm system?), or something else, that would drag down any brand battery. Regardless, two months is a long time for a car to be sitting and it is a good idea to occassionally start the vehicle and run it for a while. This will keep the battery charged and also keep oil and fluids circulating to resist rust and corrossion build up. Recharge the battery with a good battery charger and give it a whirl. I think you may find the battery doesn't need replacing.
If per chance the battery doesn't accept a recharge, then just take it back to where you bought it and they will cover it under warranty and save you money.
