Re: Blue Gauge Cluster Mod

Any chance you can share how this was done? Or are you going to keep it to yourself? As you can tell, a lot of people are interested in doing this mod and would like a little info.

Re: Blue Gauge Cluster Mod

Man, I would love to do this. I own a 2000 Jetta GLX and the dashboard is blue with red. Absolutely love it over the amber color of the G35.

Re: Blue Gauge Cluster Mod

Thanks a lot Wrah. You could've at least waited for us to get the info to bash the car. Now we'll never get it.

You interrogate the witness, THEN shoot him........hehe

Re: Blue Gauge Cluster Mod

Hey it's not my car so clown it all you want, i myself don't like the lights under his car either, but i taped it for him. As far as the blue gauge cluster mod, i dunno how he did it. I know that he had to use rubbing alcohol or something to get rid of the amber from the transparent portion of the cluster so that the blue would shine blue...other then that....thats all i know....sorry guys.

Re: Blue Gauge Cluster Mod

OK Guys & Gals this maybe the answer to the Cluster Mod.

This is a copy & paste to an email I received from NR Gauges,

Larry:
We are finishing the production of the Nissan 350Z. We have considered making them for the G35 coupe. If you can get a large group together, that would give us an incentive to manufacture them sooner.

Neal
Thank You,

NR Automobile Accessories

Maybe one of the Admin could make a sticky to gauge the interest in this product. [ humor ]

Seriously, let's start a new thread to show NR the demand for this mod!

Re: Blue Gauge Cluster Mod

yep its my horrible poor car *cries* poor me, *cries* showing product i sell. *cries* it was a 400+ crank hp Twin Turbo Gayline *cries*

/sarcasm

anyhoo.. its not as easy as "here's the instructions go for it" because.

1. It requires a lot of tedius work.
2. May cost you 800 bucks if you screw up
3. blame me for not giving you good enough instructions

so you have these choices.

a. Can bring your car to me and we can spend time together (with my gayline :P) and i'll work with you on it.
b. attempt to do so yourself at your own risk.

either way its not very simple as most think.

the cluster alone has 18 3mm blue leds i need to remodify to remove the hotspots.

the ac control/radio has over 30 SMD Leds that are about the size of a grain of sand.

so if you are really "truly" interested in undergoing the risk and the amount of risk it is to do the work
