DealerShip Nightmare Story

Ok, so this is so others can avoid my mistakes and not be as simple and stupid as I was. So my car's AC never worked ever since I bought the car, but since it was winter when I forst got it, I didn't care. I finally go to the dealer and say hey I got an extended warranty, you need to fix my AC, so they run a DIAGNOSTIC and say it's your condensor but it's impact, so we are not convering it. So I say but it was always like that, and they say well you can't prove that, so I end up paying $130 so they could tell me what I already knew. So then I leave heated and take my car to a Kambodian shop, the kid rips apart my car and yanks the condensor out, and low and behold the reason it had a hole was because the fan melted onto the condensor and actually spun while it was on it. So my condensor has the impression of the actual fan spinning on it, the kid says to me, THIS IS A DEFECT DUDE, i'm calling your warranty. So he is presently working on my car and the warranty company is sending him a check.

Moral of the story, if you bought an extended warranty, don't bother with the dealership, you'll end up paying for **** out of pocket because they don't do anything but run a f*cking diagnostic and think they understand the problem entirely.

Dealers don't like outside extended warranty companies because they nickel and dime on labor rate and oem parts. Sometimes you chase away business to avoid losing money.

If a third party honored your extended warranty, then you did not purchase an Infiniti extended warranty. Is there any reason for this?

Kelly Infiniti....that's where I bought my G. Interesting place there...everything is always your fault...I've yet to see an issue that they take full responsbility for with no stink. Not to mention, every time you go you need an extra $1000 in maintenance.

This is exactly why I am learning to do the work on my G myself....I can't be bothered with the stealership anymore.

I see your location says Boston. Is kelly the one in Boston? I go to Norwood and havn't had any problems...so far. Kind of slow of getting back to you about service stuff like making appointments and what not but otherwise pretty good. Try them next time, don't think it would be TOO far if the service really is better.

I'm In MA, I use Danvers Kelly, since they are closer, I just don't like how service is so unaware of real issues and problems, I don't want to deal with a f*cking rep who sits in an office and knows nothing about cars or how they work and denies my claim because all they do is run a check and not actual look in my car.

I was going to use Norwood once, but I think they get a lot mroe business since they coudln't schedule me for a long time.

They're on the automile so I'm not surprised by more busisness. Sat, 8am...4 cars lined up....all the other dealerships along there (one for pretty much every make, including ferrari soon, for those who don't know) seemed to be closed or atleast didn't have buisness.
