This morning, I am in my driveway sitting in my car while it's running and the car just shuts off on its own. I turn the car back on and the "service engine soon", "slip", and "vdc off" lights come on. I turn my car off than turn it back on and the only light thats on is the "service engine soon light." So I drive my car on and off for a couple hours after with the light still on, and the car is running fine. As I am on my way to work, while driving on a main road, the f*ckin car just shuts off as I am driving, all of the lights on the dash come on, and my steering wheel won't turn. I stop, turn the **** off, and as I started it back up while sitting in the middle of traffic the car kind of struggled to start, but eventually started. I drove it back to my house without it shutting off again. Has this happened to anyone before?

 

Do you have a CAI? If so what brand? If you do, I guarantee that is the problem. Seen it a hundred times, but I'm not sure how to fix it other than take it off.

You don't have a Stillen intake? Hmmm... not sure what it could be then.

EDIT: NM just saw you said it shut off while you were sitting in the driveway too. Check the MAF and Throttle Body. They may need to be cleaned. Afterward you'll need to do an ECU reset.
