any N/A mods that do give decent gains to our G?

Too many people jump into this game without basic maintenance, and exit early with a broken (driveline/engine/wallet).
My 2004 X picked up 12-15wtq over baseline with this package:
* Motordyne 5/16" copper iso thermal spacer
* UpRev e-tune (send in your AFR logs after each mod)
* HKS Sport muffler
* Blitz SUS power filter (stock size, stock box)
Best run to date: 250.2whp, 262.8wtq
Worst case for performance (20% AWD driveline loss) gives 300hp/315ft-lbs at the crank. Best case (25% loss) gives 312hp/328ft-lbs at the crank.
And for an $18k (used) AWD sedan with $2k of modifications, those gains are not bad at all. I recently worked with UpRev to tweak the maps.. probably due for another dyno run soon.
Exhaust (HFC, etc) is one of the last modifications to make to the VQ in my opinion. These are not high-compression FI systems with too much backpressure looking for a new home. Buy a nice sounding muffler (hard to go wrong with HKS) if you want sound.

The gains for $$$ aren't the best, but to say it does nothing on the VQ is definately not true.
.
notice how the people that actually go to the track and have dyno'd, respond with reality and those that have probably never taken their car to the track or been 100+ or been on a dyno report flase statements
cool so should i get the hfc or not bother?
I bought the intake and the spacer and read some bad reviews..
im almost giving up on modding it ..
also im at 8k still, what milage does the vq break in at?
my buddie told me my car wil get way faster after break in.......

and I'm not sure where you get your info about HFC but it is a very worth while mod.
Do you have a link to a before/after dyno without someone monkeying with the fuel maps in the middle? Difficult to see what effect the HFC had versus "other mods" in most of the dyno posts I've read here.

Just an observation from over 20 years of personal experience building and modifying both N/A and F/I (both roots blown s/c and turbo) cars. On most setups, you don't really appreciate an HFC at low pressure unless the stock design is overly restrictive. And based on what I just read about noise levels after adding an FI HFC (http://www.6mt.net/forum/g35-coupe/2...tions-hfc.html) that might be true.
