Tire Pressure

Just checked the tire pressure on my G sedan. The car had not been moved in 2 days and the pressure in all 4 tires was about 38psi. Called the Infiniti dealer and they said it should be between 32 and 35. After lowering all of them to 35psi, I found in the Maintenance folder it should be 30psi front and rear. ANYONE KNOW WHO IS CORRECT?

Re: Tire Pressure

You could always just read it right off the side of the tire, if anyone should know what your tire pressure should be it's the tire manufacturer.

Re: Tire Pressure

don't go by what it says on the tire, the nuber on the tire is usually the max tire pressure. open your driver side door and look on the door frame, there is a decal that tells you the tire pressure for the front and rear tires. it may be somewhere else but that is where it is on my coupe.

Re: Tire Pressure

It's in the driver's side rear door on the sedan.

Re: Tire Pressure

The pressure on the side of the tire is the MAX pressure. ALWAYS look for the sticker on the drivers door or door frame. On the coupe with sport package, its 35psi all the way around.

Re: Tire Pressure

It's 30psi on my sedan with sports, I drove the frist 2weeks with dealer's setting at 35 and did not realize the bumpy ride was caused by overinflated tires

Re: Tire Pressure

I liked hard (35psi) tires and ride in my Sedan but it's not for everyone. It seemed to handle and corner better for me. The manufacturer's sticker on the door recommends 30 but I feel this is more for comfort than handling or tire life.
My Coupe's tire pressures are 35 which I like. I may experiment with a pound or 2 more.
