does anyone know where i can buy some new ones? like the ones that secure the battery cover. the stupid mechanic doesnt know how to pry 'em out so in the process he broke some of them.

Autozone or just about any other car parts store has them. They are a standard item meaning just about every car on the road uses the same item.

you don't need a special tool, just use a small flat head screwdriver to pop the center head out and pull the entire piece out with your fingers!

you can buy the push pin fasteners on Ebay. It was much cheaper than the dealership though I didn't try any of our sponsors. Piad $15 for 45 pins

I'll look in my toolbox tomorrow to see who the shipper was. I couldn't find it in my Ebay account as it's been a while since I bought them but there is a thread on Driver somewhere and I linked the Ebay seller.

Check your local AutoZone or Advanced Auto parts. I brought a bunch of clips there.
