Bad Engine/trans Mounts

How can I tell if my engine and transmission mounts are worn/bad/need to be replaced?

Thanks,
Aaron

for engine mounts, you can try to power brake your car in drive and reverse and check to see if the engine jumps up a bit or is held pretty solid in the engine bay. as far as a tranny mount gota prob take it off to see.

Btw if you have a bad motor mount for an 03-05 I have 2 mounts for sale if needed

Trade em out for solid mounts... those don't need to be replaced unless you seriously broke something...

I will try that test. So you are saying it's a rarity?

My car jerk/bucks when I get off the gas pedal after speeding up a little. My clutch isn't slipping and the SES is off. Any chance you know what it is?

o yea.. the main thing is.. say i am going ~50mph and then let go the gas.. there would be a FAINt/SLIGHT "jefk" and then when i hit the gas it would jerk a LITTLE bit also..around 1.5~2.5rpm
similar to say if had your car at 5k+ rpm and gas, let go, gas let go.. that kind of jerk but not as "violent."
