Your average HP after redlining 1st gear are definitely good gains for the track.
yep and trq is big accross the rmp... once we work out the issue down low (more detail in the Z thread I posted), I think all will be well. Car goes back Wed to check o2 sensor and look into valve tap (also addressed in Z threads attached in previous post)... then going to Shawn to play with some tuning ideas... I'll know mid week if the little glitches are worked out.... hope its ready for track this weekend

Those are some pretty significant gains when you consider the higher redline. As DaveB said, it's the gain under the curve that matters, and your "under the curve" area just got shifted to the right

the ETC worked huh? I bet it feels like a completely different car now. Especially if you have a 5at no bogging down low like before it just takes off now.

Vlad stop by Shawn's shop and have him put the ETC on one of your maps before sunday. The process only takes 10min including the reflash.

it feels like it did when you drove it last - but with the added pwr from recent install... you wouldn’t believe the lag before today - it was dismal... it was like old school turbo that took a second or so to spool up - you mash the throttle and creep along then all of the sudden WHAM!

The weird thing is it didn’t do this before the cams & headers... Its hard to describe in words - you really have to drive it to know what I mean... and since you drove it before, the only thing I can say is it's back to that off idle torquey launch with a bit more oomph - so its much more fun to drive now (like it was before but better )

I almost think the cams & headers were worth it now... cost benefit, probably not - but I look forward to driving the car again now!

I'll know this Sunday how well it does... the one thing I'm anxious to do is WOT to 7500! Even with spirited street driving before the car pulled hard down low, decent mid and fizzled in the high rmp... Now during spirited street it keeps pulling - I don’t know where it fizzles because I always have to let up - I havn't gone to 7500 but at 7K its still pulling

as long as it doesn’t rain

Accuweather says "Rather cloudy with a shower possible" - I like the cloudy part because temps are only 68!

Weather.com says "partly cloudy" 20% precipitation chance - temps 69

Ooops you said 8th

Dyno numbers wont change since the only thing we did today was fix the stuff down low - 1K-3K... that wont register on the dyno. So I'll probably pull 290-295hp and 260ish trq.

The number I'm anxious to see is ET this Sunday!

there are a couple more little tricks I'm going to so that actually might help... the headers heat intake temps horribly!!! REALLY bad! Shawn suggested some insulating material that I'm going to get tomorrow from a place in Signal Hill and wrap the MAF housing, back of heat shield, bottom of snorkel and whatever else I can... it ridiculous how hot it gets now
