Re: Everyone should have NISMO sway bars!

The following is not ment to be disrespectfull in any way.

You can buy the Nismo's and they will improve the car,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but you will never know anything other then how Nismo set them up to influence the car's behavior. You boght sway bars for a reason, if your reason's include not wanting the car to be the best that it could be for you, fine. However, adjustable sway bars, have zero to do with racing, autocrossing, doing 130mph. No aftermarket FM platform sway bar is so stiff that is makes the car edgy or twitchy or impeed's the suspension's ability to act independtly, frankly being adjustable, if you find them to be too stiff, you have the ability to chage that. And real research into sway bar's should uncover one core fact. They are a instrument to change the car's handling behavior. If all you do is install a non adjustable bars because all your after is a part measure, your done. But, settling for that on a car as great as this, not being able to fine tune the bars so that you can extract the absolute most by matching the car's behavior to your driving style is a different matter. Nismo bars will improve the car as will any aftermarket sway bar, adjustable bars will improve the car beyond that, but you have to want better and you have to not be lead astray by false fact's that do not apply to the bar's that exist for this platform. We can talk ourselves into and out of lot's of things, but let our reason's be valid. And saying "I will never adjust the bars once I install them" isn't the answer. The fact that they are adjustable allow's for change when you want it, or if you NEED to, never say never. And it's not like price point lends justification either.

Re: Everyone should have NISMO sway bars!

I know there are some GREAT Alternatives out there now with Adjustable Sways for the G35c. They just Weren't available when I bought my Nismo Sways about a year ago...If they had been, they Would be on my "G" now!!!
That said, with my driving style. I don't see how I could be any happier with the adjustable ones. The Nismos correct the G35's inherent tendency to Understeer at the cars handling limits (which Nissan & most other Auto Manufacturers design into their new Automobiles for safety reasons). I grew up racing 2-cycle Sprint Carts & later on in 1984-85 moved to Motorcycle Endurance racing on the W.E.R.A. Circuit with a SOLOMAX Sponsored Yamaha FJ1100, which back then was the Hot set-up. So I speak from Experience when I say that Driving on the Track and pushing it at 10/10th's (speed-up till ya Spin-it) is quite different than driving fast on the Street. The Three Track-Events I've taken my "G" to since I installed the Nismo Sways have been Awsome! I am almost always among the Fastest Street-Tire cars on the track (I'm running Bridgestone S0-3's). The car is Perfectly Neutral & Flat through the High & Low speed turns. Inducing Oversteer in the corners (kicking the ***-end of the car out w/ the throttle) only if I want to, just for Fun!!!
If I were Auto-crossing every other weekend or was lucky enough to have a Dedicated or Sponsored G-35coupe set up for the road racing circuit I would definitely be wearing Adjustable Sway bars, among a number of other Dedicated Racing Hardware pieces that single mindedly is meant to get the car around the track as fast as Possible.
But if you want a No Brainer, Bolt it on and Go-Set-Up, for your everyday driver, that's Great for the Street & Track. I know the NISMOS Work....
Oh, and MARVIN... MY CO-DRIVER, who just drank my last Coke, AGREES...

yamo.....I also had the Eibach Pro-Kit before the Nismo Sways were installed, and No they didn't change the ride quality of the car after the Sway Bar installation....

smcallis.....the Nismos are hollow like the stock sways, only they're made with a much Thicker Gauge Steal....

SixFive.....Aftermarket Sways will help the car feel flatter, more planted & less wobbly in the turns. This would contribute to a more rigid feel...

Yes...................................
Got mine nismo installed today. Though night and day difference is an overstatement, the swaybars definitely have corrected the understeer characteristic of the G, sedan in particular. Before the sway install, my sedan tend to do the pause then slightly head dipping manuvaure when taking a corner. After the install, the nismo sway has pretty much corrected, if not all, the head dipping, body pausing understeer.

Re: Everyone should have NISMO sway bars!

I do have the stock suspension on my G35 sedan......
but I have bought the Sport Tuned Suspension and will have
it installed on the 25th of this month! OH boy!!! I can tell that
the sways have really made a big difference, but the body
still dips when really getting on it. I expect the new (used)
suspension will improve on that!

03 5AT Sedan, sunroof, splashguards, HKS muffler,
14 wire Grounding kit, Z Duct, Stillen HF/AB
Underbody rear diffusers, Drilled alum pedals,
Stillen sway bars H/H
