Everyone should have NISMO sway bars!

I did my first two mods this past weekend (Z-tube with Popcharger and NISMO sway bars). I am completely blown away with the results.

The Z-tube/Popcharger combo is incredible for only $200. The growl over 4k RPM really surprised me the first time. I also think the car feels more responsive and revs easier (could be imagination). It defintely idles lower now (about 650 RPM and don't have grounding kit). I did the ECU reset just incase.

I am the most impressed with the NISMO sway bars. When I first looked in the box, I was rather dissapointed. They looked EXACTLY the same as the stock bars (just painted silver and said NISMO). I expected a thicker bar, but I guess the true difference is in the material and stiffness. I quickly figured out these are very different than the stock bars.

My coupe feels completely different now. Although it was quick and tossable, it always felt somewhat heavy in the turns. That feeling is completely gone now. There is zero body roll or lean now even in tight corners at high speeds. The ride is also just as smooth as before (sway bars don't impact that). The car corners perfectly flat now and I love it! I know it provides a false sense of control to a point, but I am not going to drive it too crazy.

Anyone with a stock G35c (and probably sedan) should install both of these mods. They were very easy to install, not terribly expensive, and provide a noticeble improvement without doing anything drastic.

Thanks for the online picture tutorials!

They were $385 from Performance Nissan. Worth every penny!

I picked up my Nismo sways from Performance Nissan too...and I love em, although I've never tried another brand. Major difference from stock handling; those sways make driving much more enjoyable. I actually look forward to taking those curves now; feels more like I'm driving in a straight line.

one more, notice how flat the car is in this turn. It may not look like it, this was at the point of my tires (Bridgestone S0-3's) breaking loose...

Sweet pics RugRatCoupe! I can't believe how much those two bars can improve the feel of the coupe. NISMO found a great balance.

Before anyone runs out and buys some Nismo sways now, you may want to read this great article first.

Re: Everyone should have NISMO sway bars!

I took those comments into consideration before buying the sway bars, but I think that only applies at the extreames. If you take your car to the track and are taking turns at 130mph, you have to make careful decisions with suspension. For street driving (even curvey mountain roads), you would have to be going REALLY fast before the sway bars would create a problem for you.

As with anything, you need to know the limits of your car and its wise to better understand the positive and negative issues with sway bars. Personally, I feel my car breaks lose at the same point but at least now its not leaning through the turn.

Consider getting some adjustable sways, for about the same money.
