You just not pop out and change the belts. Have to setup a plan, like doing that on your next oil change (I do my own oil change, trust myself more). And you'll have some extra tools, you don't know when they come in handy. Those two tools are commonly used, swapping wheels? =)

It's not laziness but convenience.

Plenty of dealers are negotiating their $110/ hr labor rates down to $60 per hour to get the business.

$65 for parts and labor to have both belts changed is well worth it.

I paid $120 a year ago.

so it should just deflect a few millimeters when you pull on it with a reasonable force?

Get the belts at Nissan ($30), stop by the store and get me a 6-pack.
Stop by the house & I'll put them on.
No, you don't need a gauge, just use the 45 degree rule.
Actually, just get a FSM PDF and it's really ez.

im at 56k miles and im guessing its original belt IDK it was squeeking but belt seemed fine so i gave the bearings or "wheel" a WD spray and no more squeeks so i guess it might need more lube or w/e in the bearings

Man... looks like the drive belts got expensive.
I check with gardena nissan and the price for the two belts comes out to $63.57 + tax.

If you bring it in for them to service they will charge $225.00 + tax.

Anyone know of a mechanic shop in south bay area that can get the job done for cheap?
